The CW's new fall series
is "Jane the Virgin," an adaptation of the popular telenovela.
The quirky comedy about a young Latina girl who gets artificially inseminated and winds up pregnant -- without ever having sex -- comes from Jennie Snyder Urman, the brains behind the beloved CW show canceled too soon,
"Emily Owens MD."
Based on the just-released first look clip and trailer, "Jane the Virgin" seems to be striking the same tone and balance of comedy/drama that the medical series did.

"Jane the Virgin" premieres this fall on Mondays on The CW.
