Cyndi Lauper just wants to have fun; sings to stranded airline passengers

cyndi-lauper-airport.jpgGirls just want to have fun. And for Cindy Lauper, fun = an impromptu performance for a group of stranded airline passengers at Buenos Aires' Jorge Newbery Airport on Saturday.

According to a rough translation of the YouTube description, Lauper grabbed the mike "after a night of chaos" thanks to multiple flight delays and cancellations. Apparently, Lauper's a cappella rendition of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was just the thing to calm the nerves of earth-bound Argentinians.

Dressed in a flowy black top, black head scarf and black sunglasses, Lauper belts out her signature song surrounded by a camera-wielding crowd. At one point, someone inexplicably throws a handful of torn-up white paper at her. We assume this was meant to be festive.

If the scenario sounds familiar, that's because Kanye West grabbed the PA on a Delta flight to serenade his fellow passengers back in November:
