One of the best parts of CMT's "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team" is getting to know the back stories of the DCC training camp candidates -- what makes them tick, and what makes them want to work so hard to become one of "America's Sweethearts."
One such candidate for the 2013-2014 squad is Jennifer Kathryne. While you won't get to meet Jennifer on this week's episode of "Making the Team," Zap2it has your first look now at a deleted scene featuring the 24-year-old dance instructor and choreographer from Austin, Tex.
Starting as a ballet pointe dancer at a very young age, Jennifer suffered injuries that included multiple ankle fractures. "When I was 12-years-old, my left foot actually started kind of turning different colors," Jennifer says. "I went to the doctor and they found that I had a blood circulation problem in the main bones in my ankles."
Jennifer says doctors told her she would never be strong enough to dance again, but that only pushed her to try harder. "It was a struggle growing up," she says. "Not only has it made me mentally stronger and physically stronger, but it's given me the motivation to help others -- the students that I teach -- to be stronger too."
Watch the video of Jennifer's story below, then tune in to CMT Friday night (Sept. 13) at 9 p.m. ET to see if Jennifer makes it into training camp.
