'Dallas' reboot locks in original stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray

dallas-hagman.jpgJust like when The CW revived "Beverly Hills, 90210" into "90210," TNT has invited stars of the original "Dallas" series to return for their pilot reboot. Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray have all accepted the offers to return as their original characters -- the iconic J.R. Ewing, Bobby Ewing, and Sue Ellen Ewing.

According to a Turner press release, "The modern story of Dallas focuses on the Ewing offspring - J.R. Ewing's son, John Ross, and the adopted son of Bobby and Pam Ewing, Christopher - as they clash over the future of the family dynasty."

John Ross will be played by Josh Henderson, best known as Austin on "Desperate Housewives." No word on the Christopher casting yet, but we do know that Jordana Brewster has been cast as Elena -- and yes, that is a love triangle that you smell coming a mile away.

Are you looking forward to the reboot, "Dallas" fans? Will the series be able to entice younger viewers who weren't around when the original run ended in 1991?
