Dan Marino admits to love child with CBS coworker Donna Savattere
Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino has transitioned from football player to sports analyst successfully, but it turns out that he got a bit more than just a new job when he joined CBS's Sunday pregame show "The NFL Today." The Hall of Famer has now revealed that he got a CBS Sports production assistant named Donna Savattere pregnant in 2004 while he was still married to his wife Claire.
"This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then," Marino tells the New York Post. "We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together and we continue to be a strong and loving family."
The child, Chloe, is now 7-years-old, and the Post reports that Marino agreed to pay Savattere millions of dollars for the care of their daughter. Marino is reportedly in touch with his daughter, while Savaterre went on to marry and have a child with Nahill Younis. Marino has six children with Claire: Daniel, Michael, Joseph, Alexandra, Lia and Niki.
