'Dance Your Ass Off': Season 2 gets a West Coast makeover
The uber-fit Mel B has replaced the more shapely first-year host Marissa Jaret Winokur. In place of Dr. Rob Huizenga (who's already got a long-running gig as the doctor for "The Biggest Loser") will be the younger and very camera-friendly Dr. Jordan Geller. Nutritionist Rachel S. Beller, MS, RD and Crunch Fitness trainer Lee Wall will also be on-hand as "weight-loss specialists."
In other talent makeover news, actress Lisa Ann Walter and lifestyle coach and dancing expert Danny Teeson will return for Season 2, but professional dancer Mayte Garcia will be swapped out for rotating guest judges.
Three additional episodes have also been added to this season. While Season 1 only saw 10 episodes, Season 2 will get 13.
This season's episode enhancement will include the premiere, which shows a "So You Think You Can Dance"-esque nationwide search for 25 hopefuls. Walter stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and New York to find the 25 potential contestants, who are then sent to Los Angeles where Mel B greets them. The former Spice Girl outlines what to expect as they compete for one of the 12 spots on the show -- and the chance to take home the $100,000 grand prize.
Tune in to check out the show's West Coast makeover as well as who's going to get a chance to dance their ass off when Season 2 premiers Monday, June 7 at 11 p.m. ET on Oxygen. The series moves into its regular timeslot the following week on Monday, June 14 at 10 p.m.
