'Dancing With the Stars': Bruno curses over Erin Andrews' paso doble

DWTS-erin-andrews-320.jpg Erin Andrews performed a nearly perfect paso doble Monday (May 17) on "Dancing With the Stars," but Bruno Tonioli still cussed out her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Well, kind of.

Andrews had what appeared to be a little stumble at the very end of her dance, and Chmerkovskiy made sure to jump in during Tonioli's comments (which were all positive) and take the blame for the slip up -- just in case anyone thought it was Andrews' fault. Tonioli, perhaps swept up in the moment, forgot he was on live national TV and shouted at Chmerkovskiy, "You were the one who bleeped up!"

Tom Bergeron comforted Tonioli with the reminder, "Hey, that's what the censors earn their money for."

They definitely did their job -- the bleeeeep covered more than a few words (even on the East Coast feed), so we can't really be positive if the quote above is exact. Furthermore, the camera was on Andrews and Chmerkovskiy, whose eyes widened and mouths dropped after Tonioli's outburst.

The dancing duo had quite the opposite reaction during Len Goodman's comments ... brows furrowed and lips clenched as the judge expressed his confusion over the dance: "I don't know what to make of it Maks. I'm a traditionalist ... this is a funky monkey kind of paso doble.... I'm confused really."

Goodman also expressed his distaste for Andrews' opening solo -- not the only time during the night he poo-pooed a solo for not being "traditional."

But even after his lukewarm review of the performance, he still handed out a nine. Andrews received 10s from both Carrie Ann Inaba and the foul-mouthed Tonioli.
