'Dancing With the Stars': Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas' intense paso doble

mark-chels.jpg Chelsea Kane said it herself: She's in it to win it.

Chelsea and her professional partner Mark Ballas took their intensity up a notch on "Dancing With the Stars" on May 2. They danced an aggressive paso doble while wearing equally intense black outfits. The couple received a standing ovation from the audience, but mixed reviews from the judges.

Len Goodman was confused by it, liking some parts and then saying, "What's that?" at other parts. He thought it may have been "too aggressive" and did not have enough refinement. Bruno Tonioli said she danced with "violent intensity" and praised their creativity. Carrie Ann Inaba said, "Out with the old, in with the new!" and loved that they pushed the boundaries wide open. Guest judge Donnie Burns was, like Len, confused, and compared it to Hell's Angels. Here were the judges' scores:

Burns: 8
Inaba: 9
Goodman: 8
Tonioli: 9

Combined with their group score of 30, Mark and Chelsea ended the night with 64 out of 80 points.

Did you think their paso doble was too intense, Zappers?
