'Dancing With the Stars': Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas' polarizing jive
Chelsea Kane will probably make it through the first cut on "Dancing With the Stars," but we're curious to hear what you thought about her performance Monday (March 28).
She and partner Mark Ballas danced the jive to a cleaned-up version of "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! at the Disco (side note: PATD's indie cred is officially used up), with Chelsea done up baby doll-style and Mark looking like a mime. Judge Bruno Tonioli described it about as well as it could be described: "It was like Marcel Marceau desperately seeking Lolita inside 'A Clockwork Orange.'"
So, OK, but how was the actual dancing? Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman weren't sold on it, giving Chelsea and Mark a 6 and a 5 when the scores were handed out. Bruno gave them a 7 for a total of 18; the couple has a combined score of 39 for the first two weeks, which should put them in the safe zone. But more out-there choreography could serve them poorly in the weeks to come.
What did you think of the dance?
