'Dancing With the Stars': Could Nicole Scherzinger return as a 'DWTS' pro?

nicole-derek-regis-and-kell.jpg Season 10 champion Nicole Scherzinger wowed us so much with her mad dancing skills throughout the season that she's got people wondering if she's "Dancing With the Stars" pro material.

"Do you think that Nicole could be one of the pro instructors?" Kelly Ripa asked Scherzinger's partner Derek Hough during their post-win interview on "Live With Regis and Kelly" Wednesday (May 26).

"I love her but, no," replied Hough with a smile. "She definitely has the capacity to be phenomenal in absolutely anything that she does. She's an amazing talent."

So "amazing," in fact, that Scherzinger was often criticized for being a trained dancer in what's supposed to be an amateur competition. When Regis Philbin brought up a slip during a lift at the end of their freestyle routine Tuesday night, the Pussy Cat Dolls frontwoman remarked that the mistake might have been for the best.

"Maybe we made people a little happier at home that we messed up," said a cheerful Scherzinger, still glowing from her big win.

Second and third place "DWTS" finalists Evan Lysacek and Erin Andrews will be on "Regis and Kelly" Thursday, so check back in here for their interviews.
