'Dancing with the Stars': 'Hills' star Audrina Patridge locked for Season 11

Sources confirm to Zap2it that "The Hills'" Audrina Patridge has signed on for the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."

This marks the first post-"Hills" addition to the MTV star's dance card, which has been relatively empty since the series ended its six-season run in July.

And though reality is clearly where Patridge thrives, she's clearly interested in performing, having made a few plays at an acting career in 2009's "Sorority Row" and the direct-to-DVD sequel to "Into the Blue."

An ABC show spokesperson tells Zap2it the network does not comment on casting rumors or negotiations and that the Season 11 cast will be announced live on ABC on August 30.

But if other reports are correct, this means she'll join fellow MTV-er Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Brandy and former football player Kurt Warner in the quest for the sparkly mirrorball trophy of honor.

"DWTS" aficionados agree Season 10 casting set the bar pretty high, so how does the show top the Gosselin/Anderson lead season?

A source close to the show tells Zap2it that "they may have done just that." And that some of the new contenders who signed on for this season are "amazing coups."

Excited to see Audrina step out with someone other than Justin Bobby? Had another "Hills" alum in mind for "DWTS?" Sound off in the comments.
