'Dancing With the Stars': Louis Van Amstel says show 'needs more people like Niecy'

niecy-nash-louis-van-amstel.jpg Louis Van Amstel might be busy coaching Niecy Nash on "Dancing With the Stars" and teaching his cardio ballroom fitness class, but he still found time to dish about his new dance partner.

"This show needs more people like Niecy," the dancing pro told Zap2it in an interview Thursday (March 18).

Van Amstel elaborated, saying his Season 10 partner is "so lovely and funny" and he looks forward to every rehearsal. He added that the "Reno 911!" star is always organized and comes into rehearsal ready to go.

No diva behavior here (ahem, Kate Gosselin).

But what Van Amstel really likes about Nash is that she's "very comfortable with her body," adding that his partner has an "I don't want to be a skinny b***h" attitude. He says Nash loves the way she looks, which just makes her that much more enjoyable to be around.

For those out there who do want to lose weight and feel better about themselves, Van Amstel has taken on the role as a kind of dancing personal life coach. While the dancing pro keeps super busy rehearsing for the show with Nash, he also takes about 10 hours out of his week to teach a 600-calorie-burning cardio ballroom fitness class. Called Louis' Dance Blast!, the class aims to help those out there looking to change their life and trim their waistline through dance.

Van Amstel created the program after helping Season 9 partner Kelly Osbourne shed some serious weight over the course of the dancing competition.

While Van Amstel won't be motivating Nash to drop any pounds, he admitted that he will try to push her to get more sleep. The proudly curvaceous star has multiple jobs (including "The Insider" and "Clean House") in addition to her "DWTS" duties -- and he thinks it will eventually take a toll on her body (which she already told The Dish Rag she knows will ache).

Health seems a top priority for Van Amstel, so we'll see if he can get the busy star to get more z's -- which he says "will be really important later on in the show when the media frenzy starts."

Wait, hasn't it already?

"Dancing With the Stars" starts its Season 10 run on Monday, March 22.
