'Dancing With The Stars': Peta Murgatroyd, Meryl Davis call Charlie White, Sharna Burgess elimination 'crazy' and 'disappointing'

Zap2it got a chance to catch up with the cast after the show to find out their thoughts on the sad elimination.

Charlie's partner on ice, Meryl Davis, talked about her feelings competing without him for the first time. "It's going to be really disappointing," she says. "We have done pretty much everything together. We go to college together. We've been spending all day every day together for over 17 years. It's going to be very strange."

Pro Peta Murgatroyd dished on longtime best friend Sharna, saying, "It's crazy. Sharna's my girl. She's such an amazing person. I really didn't want her to go home tonight. She's worked so hard with Charlie and he's been so amazing with her. He's just blossomed every week. It's been beautiful."

Charlie reflected on not making the final with sadness. "I'm disappointed on many levels because I thought we had more to give," he says. "Our hearts are full. We can say we did everything that we could. That's what means the most."

However, the golden medalist was able to find a positive in the departure from the ABC show. He is looking forward to a little rest and relaxation.

"I just bought a house with my girlfriend," he tells Zap2it. "I'm really excited about moving into that. It's by a river. I'm going to be walking with her and my dog beside the river, taking a break. It's been a crazy year, so it's time to breathe. I'll be voting for Meryl now."
