'Dancing with the Stars' results: 'Pretty Little Liars' Brant Daugherty eliminated

Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated on "Dancing with the Stars" week 8.

Despite the audible dissatisfaction of the studio audience, Brant and Peta were the ones chosen to go home after a couple of dances in front of Cher. These results were a bit of a surprise -- the couple was not the lowest of the night and had some great performances.

But it's apparently impossible to get Bill Engvall off "Dancing with the Stars."

There weren't many choices left by the time Brant and Peta heard their bad news. Amber and Derek had had the highest score -- 28 points -- in the first round of performances and were therefore automatically safe for the night. The remaining six couples had to do a dance-off for extra points after that.

While Brant and Peta did lose to Leah and Tony, they were also the only losing couple to get a dissenting vote from a judge.

It was all downhill from there. Bill and Emma, the most obvious couple to go home with two weeks of low scores, found out they were safe mere seconds after their dance-off concluded. This mean an upset was coming.

Elizabeth and Val were declared safe. Corbin and Karina were next. Leah and Tony stole that final safe position before the final two.

This left only Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke as the other couple possibility to go home. In the end, however, these two proved too popular and got to stay. Brant and Peta were out.

What did them in? In all honesty, it must be the audience voting. While Bill and Emma had the lowest scores in both last week and this one, Brant and Peta landed solidly in the middle of the pack. Lower-scoring couples are still around.

Maybe it's just that not enough people knew who Brant was from "Pretty Little Liars" before this?

Should they have gone home? Or was another couple more worthy of elimination? Will Bill make it to the finale? Share your comments and vote in our poll below!
