"Dancing with the Stars" Season 18 contestant Danica McKellar has a new challenge in her quest for the Mirror Ball Trophy. On Friday (April 25), McKellar posted to her Twitter account that she had somehow broken her rib during a rehearsal the day before.

Unfortunately for predictions about whether or not she would dance, McKellar did not go into any details beyond the basic injury.

While some rib injuries can be enough to end all athletic endeavors, people definitely can dance through the pain as well. Either way, there's a good chance that McKellar will have a rough time making it through the upcoming week 7 Latin dances.

The timing of the injury isn't great for the actress and writer. McKellar and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy are currently tied for 4th place in the overall rankings and have scored nothing below a 9 from the judges for the past two weeks.

McKellar got some get-well wishes from someone else associated with "Dancing with the Stars" -- Zendaya, the Season 16 runner-up (and former Chmerkovskiy partner) posted:

Fans probably will not know until Monday whether or not McKellar will be able to dance or if she will need to bow out of the competition.
