'Dancing With the Stars': Spared Situation puts partying in check, sort of
"We need a vacation after this night," says Smirnoff.
Uh, so soon -- didn't you just start rehearsing last week?
She's kidding, clearly, but given her partner's... shall we say "social" reputation, it's not hard to imagine The Situation would want to partake in the nightlife while working on the opposite coast.
"I'm probably going to try and take it easy tonight, try and get a bite to eat or something," says Sorrentino, "but I'll be honest with you: I'm sure you guys know I party a lot. But I'd like to bring home a win, take the dance seriously and really surprise everybody."
But he's thinking of finding a healthy balance of work and play rather than quitting cold turkey. "You're definitely going to see that," he says, "[But] when I go out and party, I don't get out of control. I have fun, and I think I look alright doing it, too. Karina might be to, so we'll see."
"Just to make sure the control is there," says Smirnoff, "with the whip."
Whoa! Well, while she's at it, she might want to pack that whip to tomorrow's rehearsals. Just because week one is over doesn't mean they're not still behind. "We only had five days for cha-chas, and we're only going to have five days for foxtrot," says Smirnoff, "The other couples have already had a week."
