'Dancing With the Stars' studio receives letter containing white powder

dwts-threatening-letter.jpgThe studio where "Dancing With the Stars" tapes received a letter containing a suspicious substance on Wednesday (Sept. 28).

The letter addressed to "DWTS" contained a white powder, the Los Angeles Times reports. Police were called about 3:30 p.m. PT to CBS Television City, where the show tapes. The substance turned out to be harmless, and there's no word on what the letter said.

The "Dancing With the Stars" letter was the second one sent to a show at Television City in recent weeks. "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" received a suspicious letter in August; it also turned out to be harmless.

Television City is also home to "The Price Is Right," "The Young and the Restless," "Real Time with Bill Maher" and other shows. "The X Factor" and "American Idol" will do their live shows there later this season.
