'Dancing With the Stars' Tom Bergeron on Kate Gosselin, the final four, surprises of the season

tom-bergeron-abc2.jpg Tom Bergeron was tight-lipped about his "Dancing With the Stars" winner prediction when Zap2it's Korbi TV recently spoke with him (Yes, he has prediction -- although he claims that over the 10 seasons he's been right less than 50 percent of the time).

But the host did open up about the strengths of the remaining four contestants.

Bergeron believes Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough "have great chemistry" and he commends Hough for "incredible choreography."

As for Evan Lysacek -- who tied Scherzinger's nearly perfect score Monday (May 17) night -- Bergeron says he "moves wonderfully on the floor" and is "used to wowing people while in action."

The host commented on both Erin Andrews and Chad Ochocinco in terms of their improvement over the course of the season, referring to Andrews' growth as an "absolute revelation" and Ochocinco's transformation as "fascinating."

Bergeron revealed what he believed to be some of the more surprising moments of the season: "I thought Kate would be with us for at least another week. And I thought Pamela might have been in the final four. And I didn't expect Shannen to be the first one to go."

When pressed on why he thought Kate Gosselin would have lasted longer, he said, "From what I understand and what I've experienced is that the Kate Gosselin reaction is really right down the middle. People either love her or they don't. And that creates compelling viewing. So I just thought her votes would keep her in."

So maybe Bergeron isn't so good with the predictions after all. He stuck with the safe answer for the contestants still standing: "It's still anybody's game."

We'll see who will be heading to to the finals next week when one more contestant goes home Tuesday night. Who do you think it's going to be?
