'Dancing With the Stars': Who takes the season 10 mirror ball trophy?

evan-lysacek-erin-andrews-dancing-with-the-stars.jpg "Dancing With the Stars" welcomes its 10th season cast Monday, March 22 on ABC. Who's going to win it all this year?

Zap2it is here to provide you with a cheat sheet on the contestants. Will Buzz Aldrin be out of this world on the dance floor? Will everything come up roses for Jake Pavelka?

Contestant: Shannen Doherty
Odds: 12 to 1
We highly doubt Shannen will have a built-in fanbase with "Dancing With the Stars." Even fans of "Beverly Hills, 90210" were never on Team Brenda Walsh, not only because the character was abrasive but because Shannen's off-screen persona was as well. Now, if Jennie Garth were competing, we'd give her good odds. But we don't see Shannen doing so well.

Contestant: Niecy Nash
Odds: 11 to 1
We like Niecy a lot but "DWTS" is about, well, dancing. Just about every other contestant in the competition looks to be lighter on their feet than Niecy. Another strike against her is that she's not old enough to get the Chloris Leachman vote. That will go to Buzz Aldrin, making it hard for Niecy to stick around.

Contestant: Pamela Anderson
Odds: 10 to 1

Pam certainly has an audience out there, but whether her fans are "DWTS" watchers is another story. We think Nicole Scherzinger might have the market cornered on the pretty-stripper-esque dancer, plus there's a distinct possibility that Pam's Andersons may get out of control when she's dancing. Her costumes are going to have to be made by the Army Corps of Engineers. There is potential for both hilarity and being terrified.

Contestant: Aiden Turner
Odds: 9 to 1

Sorry guys, but daytime soaps are going the way of the dinosaurs. Aiden Turner may be yummy to look at in his ballroom costumes (and he'll outlast some of the less talented female contestants), but we just don't think he'll be anything more than a pretty face.

Contestant: Jake Pavelka
Odds: 8 to 1

If we were writing this preview before Jake chose Vienna instead of Tenley, perhaps he would've had better odds. We think some of his built-in fanbase from "The Bachelor" may be a tad mad at him. That being said, he's still cute and light on his feet, so look for Jake to go fairly deep in the competition.

Contestant: Kate Gosselin
Odds: 7 to 1

This was a hard one. On the one hand, she's gotten a lot of media sympathy for having to deal with Jon Gosselin and all his antics and does have a lot of fans out there. On the other hand, it's sort-of like she's forgotten she has eight children. Will there be a backlash over mommy trying to be more famous and leaving the kiddies with the daycare center? Maybe.

Contestant: Buzz Aldrin
Odds: 6 to 1

As we mentioned above, Buzz will stick around due to the Chloris Leachman Effect. He's got the Astronaut Hero thing going from one half of the "DWTS" audience and the Cute Old Grandpa thing going from the other half, which means he'll stick around much longer than his actual dancing ability belies.

Contestant: Nicole Scherzinger
Odds: 5 to 1

Nicole has a lot of dancing experience and is also very pretty. The only reason she's not the highest-placing woman is that she's just a touch on the skanky side for "DWTS." She was a Pussycat Doll, not one of the Andrews Sisters, so while her talent will take her far in the competition, she'll ultimately be thwarted by sweetheart Erin Andrews for the top-placing female contestant.

Contestant: Chad Ochocinco
Odds: 4 to 1

Athletes have historically done very well on "DWTS" and the show may have just found their best NFL player yet in Chad Ochocinco. He's incredibly good looking, incredibly athletic and has a superb sense of humor. His touchdown celebrations as a Cincinnati Bengal are legendary among NFL fans. We think if Olympic golden boy Evan Lysacek were not a cast member, Chad could probably take the title.

Contestant: Erin Andrews
Odds: 3 to 1

There's a reason that all male sports fans want to date Erin Andrews and all female sports fans want to be her best friend. Erin is pretty, charming and intelligent. She also has a great deal of sympathy following her stint in the news where she had a creepy peeping tom following her around. Finally, as a Dazzler at the University of Florida, Erin has a solid dance background. Look for her to do very well on "DWTS," especially if the rumors about her dating her partner are true.

Contestant: Evan Lysacek
Odds: 2 to 1

We think Evan takes the crown in the 10th season of "DWTS." Shawn Johnson did it last spring following her Olympic gold medal and Evan should be riding the wave of USA pride all the way to the coveted mirror ball trophy. His background in figure skating should translate well to dancing and it doesn't hurt that he's a cutie pie.
