Dave Grohl wins ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with 'Carrie'-inspired video

There have been no end to the number of celebrities dumping buckets of ice water over their heads to raise awareness and money for the ALS Association, but it's going to be hard to top Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

Not only did he accept the challenge, he did it in a scene right out of the horror movie "Carrie." Wearing a prom dress and tiara, with a date at his side, Grohl faces an adoring public, until a bucket of ice water was dumped over his head. It's not as devastating as the pig's blood in "Carrie," but it's entertaining all the same. The three-minute clip even has a musical score and shots from the movie mixed in, creating the perfect visual.

As for his nominations, Grohl challenged Jack Black, John Travolta and Stephen King to follow suit with their own videos and donations. The Ice Bucket Challenge was first issued by 29-year-old ALS patient Peter Frates, who asked his friends and family to follow his lead.

Since then, the challenge has gone viral with hundreds of videos popping up online and over $20 million donated to the ALS Association. Zap2it has collected some of the very best celebrity challenge videos for you in this handy roundup. To find out how you can donate, you can visit the ALS Association here.
