David Beckham photo-bombs fans in London
For 60 fans at the Adidas UK photo booth at Westfield Stratford City Monday (July 23), it happened. Beckham photo-bombed pictures and then took questions in a Twitter question-and-answer session. One little boy is seen crying out of shock.
In London for Friday's Olympics opening ceremony, Beckham will not be participating in any matches this time around. He was not chosen by England coach Stuart Pearce as one of the three players over the age of 23 to join the U-23 team.
In a statement from his representatives, Beckham said, "Naturally I am very disappointed but there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me and like everyone, I will be hoping they can win the gold."
Beckham has supported London's hosting of the Olympic Games since 2005. Look for him to play an as of yet unknown part in the opening ceremony. His wife Victoria is rumored to be reuniting with '90s girl group Spice Girls for the closing ceremony on Aug. 12.
Beloved by fans in England and the United States for playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid and the Los Angeles Galaxy, Beckham has his own video games, endorsement deals, and fragrance line. Victoria Beckham is also successful with her own fashion line, books, solo albums, and lingering Spice Girls popularity.
