Dean McDermott, Tori Spelling needed 'drastic' move to save marriage
Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling are doing everything they can to save their marriage in the wake of McDermott's cheating allegations.
When the cheating rumors started to swirl about Spelling's husband and father of her children, they took "drastic" moves to save their family, a source close to the couple tells People Magazine. "What other options did they have?" the source says. "They'd already tried therapy, so it had to be something drastic."
And as a result, on Thursday (Jan. 23), McDermott checked into rehab "to address some health and personal issues."
According to the source, McDermott's move has already helped Spelling. "He's now willing to be treated," the source says. "It's something that he can't control. It gives her a chance to understand why he did this and to not take it personally."
Of course, going to rehab won't repair the damage that's been done completely. "Him going to rehab is like providing aid to a gushing wound," the source says. "It's going to stop the bleeding right now, but it's going to take a long time to heal and there will be scars that will never go away."
