Debbie Rowe to testify Michael Jackson was abusing prescription medication - report
TMZ reports that sources connected with the trial say Rowe will be called by AEG Live on Tuesday or Wednesday and that she'll testify to Jackson abusing prescription medications in the 1980s and 1990s. Reportedly, Rowe's former boss, Dr. Arnie Klein, also had a standing order to inject Jackson with Demerol and Vistaril -- but Rowe didn't know that until after the fact.
Rowe reportedly saw Jackson coming out of Klein's office shortly before he died looking out of it and subsequently called Klein after Jackson's death, demanding to know what he gave Jackson.
The reason Rowe's testimony may be so important is that AEG Live is alleging it had no knowledge of Jackson's drug use and therefore would have had no reason to take action. Rowe's testimony about Jackson's past drug use coupled with the fact that leading up to his death, she had no idea about any of the new drug use, could lend weight to AEG's case.
Jackson's family is suing AEG Live for wrongful death, alleging that the company knew he was in trouble and continued to push him in rehearsals instead of getting him help and therefore contributed to his death.
