Demi Lovato on rehab: 'Without my fans, I probably wouldn't be here today'

In her first on-camera message since entering a treatment center for "emotional and physical issues" last fall, Disney star Demi Lovato thanks her fans for their support and says she's ready to start working again.

"I wanted to send you guys a message because I know that you've seen me out and about and I wanted to let you know that I am back and am home," Lovato says. "But I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the support you guys have given me along the way."

Lovato wouldn't go into detail about the issues she is dealing with (reportedly an eating disorder and cutting herself), but the 18-year-old says, "I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but of all ages are dealing with."

The "Sonny Without a Chance" star was clearly thankful for the support from her fans and says, "I read all of the tweets, the trending topic and the fan mail."

"I can't tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time in my life. Without you guys, I probably wouldn't be here today."

In the message filmed at her house, Lovato also announces she is ready to start working again. "I wanted to let you guys know that I am excited to get back to work."

Lovato, who has been seen going for outpatient counseling since leaving rehab, says she hopes "to one day raise awareness of everything so I can help people, too, just like you guys helped me through this rough time."

She finishes her message with: "I love you all and I couldn't have done this without you."

That's not a tear in our eye, really. It's our allergies acting up. Or something.
