DGA awards: We've got the winners

The Artist.jpgThe Directors Guild of America has announced the winners of the DGA Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in film, television, and commercials for 2011. The DGA's are often considered the best predictor of who will win the Academy Award for Best Director. The nominations were a bit of a shocker because Steven Spielberg was left off the list for his work on "War Horse."

No director not at least nominated for a DGA Award has gone on to win the Best Director Oscar, and only a handful of past DGA winners have failed to win one. Master of Ceremonies Kelsey Grammer, joked about tedious awards shows saying, "Last year's awards were so long, the directors cut is two hours shorter."

We've got the list of winners for you right here. Who do you think will take the Best Director Oscar this year? Are you surprised by the winners? Do you think Spielberg deserves to be on the list? Let us know below.
