Did Britney Spears use a dance body double in 'Hold It Against Me' video?
TMZ is reporting that Spears just couldn't nail the moves. Video director Jonas Akerlund, who also directed Lady Gaga and Beyonce's hit "Telephone," was reportedly so frustrated with Spears' lack of rehearsal that he asked the double, a dancer named Allison Kyler, to step in. Sources say that things on set got "heated" and that Spears stormed out in tears on the second day of shooting.
Spears' camp is quick to refute the rumors. "The accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting," her rep says. TMZ is sticking to their story.
Even Akerlund is Team Britney on this one. "[Britney's] been great throughout the entire process. At the end of the shoot I got the warmest hug I ever got from an artist, and I look forward to hugging her again very soon!" he says. "I've been around long enough to know when an artist gives it their all, and to me it doesn't get better than this. This video is gonna be f**king awsome. It's all Britney.""
We tracked down video of Allison Kyler performing a burlesque dance. Would you believe that she's Britney? We'll have to reserve judgment until we see the video, but we're pretty sure Britney knows her fans will accept no imitations.
