Dish Network subscribers lose AMC and IFC among other channelsAdd to Favorites | The Walking Dead
AMC isn't the only network affected, though with shows like "Mad Men," "The Walking Dead," and "Breaking Bad," its absence will certainly be noted by Zap2it readers. Dish Network has also removed WeTV, the Independent Film Channel (IFC), and Sundance from its subscribers' televisions.
The provider informed customers that AMC has been replaced by HDTV movies on Channel 130, Style on Channel 128, and HDNet on 131.
"AMC Networks required us to provide, and charges DISH for, channels beyond AMC, including Sundance, IFC and WE. In aggregate, these channels do not deliver the right value to our customer base for the price AMC Networks demands," says Dish in a statement.
