Disney has announced the release dates for some of the studio's most anticipated movies. In addition to confirming that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will come out on April 4, 2014, "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be released on Aug. 1, 2014 and updating "Maleficent's" release date to July 2, 2014, Walt Disney Studios has unveiled release dates for "The Muppets 2," "1952" and "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."

The sequel to "The Muppets," "The Muppets 2," will again be directed by James Bobin, but this time will star Ricky Gervais as the lead instead of Jason Segel. It will come out on March 21, 2014, and will also star Ty Burrell and potentially Tina Fey.

Meanwhile, details of "1952" are being kept very hush-hush. Beyond the fact that it is written by Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, is going to be directed by Bird and will star George Clooney, little is known about the top-secret film. It will come out on Dec. 19, 2014.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will help flesh out 2015 as being the biggest year for sequels ever. It's due out on July 10, 2015, and again will star Johnny Depp and be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Jeff Nathanson is currently writing the movie's script, and no director is attached. "Pirates 5" will join other films being released that year like "Justice League," "Star Wars: Episode VII," "Avatar 2," "The Avengers 2" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2."
