Disney is finally revealing more about the plot to the top secret George Clooney film, "Tomorrowland."
An announcement about the start of production on the Brad Bird ("The Incredibles," "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol") and Damon Lindelof ("Star Trek," "Prometheus") venture also includes the following plot synopsis:
"Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as 'Tomorrowland.'"
If the story sounds at all familiar, it may be because it mimics somewhat a supposedly
synopsis that has been passed around by various websites.
Disney says filming is now underway in Vancouver. In addition to Clooney, the "Tomorrowland" cast features Britt Robertson ("Under The Dome"), Hugh Laurie ("House M.D."), Raffey Cassidy ("Snow White and the Huntsman") and Thomas Robinson ("The Protector").
"Tomorrowland" will be in theaters Dec. 12, 2014.
