D.L. Hughley to co-create and star in autobiographical comedy for FX

Deadline reports that the home of Louis C.K.'s acclaimed comedy is developing another autobiographical comedy centered around a stand-up comedian. The comic this time? D.L. Hughley.

The untitled project will be based on Hughley's life experiences, revolving around the comedian as an unapologetically honest family man and radio host. Hughley, who has been married for over 25 years and has three children, will co-write the script with Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin ("Brickleberry").

Hughley previously starred in the ABC/UPN comedy "The Hughleys" from 1998-2002.

Do you think Hughley's project sounds like it would make a good companion for "Louie"?
