'Doctor Who' 'A Christmas Carol' peek: Christmas-time travel

On the heels of learning that the special "Doctor Who" holiday episode will actually air on Christmas Day on BBC America this year, we get more: This lovely trailer.

As mentioned before, it's their take on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" with Michael Gambon (Dumbledore in the latter "Harry Potter" films) in the Scrooge role. Newlyweds Amy ( Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) also appear alongside The Doctor, who claims to be the Ghost of Christmas Past.

We don't want to give too much away in this creepy-seeming trailer. Time travel is such a natural fit with this story though, as the tagline "Christmastime can be rewritten" indicates. We can't wait.
