With less than a month before "Doctor Who" Season 8 premieres, images of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor are starting to pop up more and more. The latest shown him in costume, standing in front of the TARDIS.
The photo comes from Empire, who also spoke to Capaldi about how his Doctor is different from those that came before him. "He's more alien than he's been for a while," Capaldi tells the magazine. "He doesn't quite understand human beings or really care very much about their approval."
Of course, that means things are different for his companion Clara as well. "With Matt [Smith]'s Doctor [Clara] felt quite safe, really," Jenna-Louise Coleman explains. "She knew she'd be caught if she was in danger, but this guy is a lot less human-friendly and a lot less patient. He's more removed and inaccessible. You can't quite access him in the same way." He's also not interested in flirting.
The new dynamic between the two is bound to be one of the most interesting things to see develop when "Doctor Who" Season 8 premieres Saturday, Aug. 23, on BBC America.
