Dominic Monaghan ABC mystery: Solved?
The question of why former "Lost" star Dominic Monaghan appears in an ABC promo for next season may have an answer.
Monaghan's appearance in the promo caused a bit of a stir over the weekend, first with speculation that he'd be returning to "Lost" and then with word that he's going to be on one of the network's new series. ABC, however, wouldn't say which one.
The network is still keeping quiet, but IGN is reporting that Monaghan will be part of "Flash Forward," the "Lost"-ian series that ABC will on Thursday nights in the fall. IGN also says he'll "likely have a major role."
"Flash Forward" stars, among others, fellow "Lost"-ie Sonya Walger, Joseph Fiennes, John Cho and Courtney B. Vance. It's about what happens after the world's entire population blacks out for a couple of minutes, during which time everyone sees a vision of their future.
Monaghan's possible presence on "Flash Forward" doesn't necessarily preclude him from appearing on the final season of "Lost," although it may make scheduling a trickier (as it would for Walger, for that matter). As both shows seem to be adopting the cone-of-silence approach, though, we'll have to wait and see.
Does "Flash Forward" seem like a good fit for Monaghan? Would his presence make you more inclined to watch?
