The series, which stars Christopher Egan ("Kings") and Anthony Stewart Head ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), will premiere in 2014. It's set 25 years after the events of "Legion," in which the archangel Gabriel led an army of angels in a "war of possession against mankind."

Human survivors have gathered in a handful of fortified cities, the largest of which is Vega, formerly Las Vegas. A power struggle between two families threatens the city from within while the fallen angels continue their quest to wipe out humanity.

"Legion's" co-writer and director, Scott Stewart, also directed the "Dominion" pilot, which was written by Vaun Wilmott. Both will be executive producers, along with Michael Litvak and David Lancaster.

The cast also includes Alan Dale ("Lost," "The O.C."), Roxanne McKee ("Game of Thrones"), Tom Wisdom ("300") and Luke Allen-Gale ("The Borgias").
