Does Donald Trump believe he's above the law? It's clear that "The Celebrity Apprentice" contender Richard Hatch does, at least to the judge who sent him back to jail for nine months.
While Hatch reports to the U.S. District Court in Providence, R.I. Monday (March 14) to start his sentence, Trump is shaking his head.
"I don't know what it is with him," Trump tells TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411. "I like him, he's a nice guy. I thought he served his time and now he's going back to jail... I'm gonna have to sit down with him and talk to him."
We would think that sit-down between the Donald and the jailbird will occur in prison, but it might happen in front of millions of viewers. "The Celebrity Apprentice" finale is taped live and though we don't know if Hatch ends up being in the final two, all the cast members traditionally reunite for the broadcast.
The finale is scheduled for late-May, hardly more than nine months out. So, will Hatch be watching from the prison rec room? According to Trump, no.
"We don't expect this to be a conflict," Trump says. "If we have to we will get him out. If it works into that situation [we] will get him out. I assume he will behave well."
We guess being Trump's prospective apprentice has its privileges...
