'Downton Abbey': Anjelica Huston wants to 'pop into a part'

anjelica-huston-loves-downton-abbey.jpgWe like to imagine that "Downton Abbey" is this super-cool night club where creator Julian Fellowes is the doorman and the list of actors wanting to guest-star is long (but distinguished). The latest thespian to be interested in the popular U.K. drama is none other than Oscar-winner and "Smash" star Anjelica Huston.

"I love 'Downton,'" she tells USA Today. "I was raised in Ireland and England, so I could pop into a part. Somebody like the Countess Markievicz (an Irish rebel), who they mentioned last season. Maybe I could make a guest appearance."

She also says that she thinks television is in a terrific age right now -- "It's taking over from movies, no question about it. Certainly for women" -- and also cites "Love It or List It" as one of her favorite shows.
