'Downton Abbey' cast hopes for Season 5: A 'bromance' for Thomas and more
"Downton Abbey" is busy filming its fifth season in the U.K., and PBS has just released a video where some of the stars talk about what they'd like to see for their characters in Season 5.
Laura Carmichael hopes to have some scenes between Lady Edith and her baby, though she's not sure how that can happen and still keep the child's parentage a secret. Allen Leech says he hopes Tom gets back into his political leanings, while Lesley Nicol hopes Mrs. Patmore gets to have a scene with the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith) -- we would imagine that one would be on every actor's list, right?
Rob James-Collier says that if creator Julian Fellowes follows the usual format for Thomas, it should be "bromance" time for him in Season 5. "He's always been unlucky in love, so it'd be nice to see him happy for once. I think he deserves it," says James-Collier. Despite how awful Thomas can be at times, we can't help but agree.
"Downton Abbey" returns in September in the U.K. and in January 2015 in the U.S. on PBS.
