Dustin Hoffman's quick thinking saves heart attack victim
The incident happened Monday (May 7) in London's Hyde Park. While out for a walk, Hoffman spotted 27-year-old jogger Sam Dempster who was, according to The Sun, "frothing at the mouth and staggering" before collapsing.
Hoffman quickly called for emergency help. Even after the paramedics arrived, Hoffman stayed by the man's side while they performed CPR.
After the incident was over, Dempster tells The Sun, "I have no memory of what happened. The paramedics told me I had been saved by Dustin Hoffman. It's unbelievable."
Paramedic Martin Macarthur even explains that "when we were carrying the patient into the ambulance he walked up and said 'Great job, guys.'"
