grimm-premiere-dvr-ratings.jpgThe series premiere of "Grimm" put up unexpectedly solid overnight ratings on Halloween weekend, and it turns out its delayed-viewing numbers are pretty good too.

Nielsen's Live +7 ratings for the week of Oct. 24-30 show "Grimm's" debut gaining better than 2 million viewers, rising from 6.56 million viewers to 8.71 million. It also gained a full point in the adults 18-49 demographic, going from 2.1 to 3.1. In terms of absolute gains it was among the Top 20 for that week in both measures, a rarity for a Friday-night show.

NBC's other premiere on Oct. 28, "Chuck," didn't fare as well in the total number of viewers added, but its percentage gains were pretty strong. It grew by 60 percent in adults 18-49 (1.0 to 1.6) and a little under 35 percent in viewers (3.425 million to 4.61 million).

The top of the charts were pretty much the same as previous weeks, with one exception: Because "Modern Family" aired a repeat on Oct. 26, its DVR numbers weren't calculated. It remains the season's delayed-viewing leader.
