Carrie-Ann-Inaba-Dancing-With-the-Stars.jpg "Dancing With the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba has been an animal activist for a long time. After losing her cat of 19 years, she decided to create a series called "Crib Cat" to help find homes for homeless animals.

"The whole of the situation with animals is really not good," she says. "I think I'm so fortunate that I'm on a show like 'DWTS,' and I have a voice, so I'm trying to use my voice for the animals. I created a show called Crib Cat, and then it's on Petsami.com, It's an internet series. It's a YouTube series, where it's hosted by a little cat who introduces you to a new homeless shelter kitty each week, or each episode."

Inaba says she wanted a fun way to get these little guys adopted, instead of a sad one. Viewers learn about the kitties that need homes and it's hosted by Inaba's long-time feline friend Kit, who Inaba voices.

"We specialize in special needs cats," she says. "I find that they know when you take care of them that they know you're going out of your way to love them and bring them in, and they're just so grateful, and it's just such a beautiful thing. I think in this day and age there's a lot of lonely people out there, and I kind feel like there's always homeless animals and there's always people that are lonely, and I really feel like we just need to bring them together, so that's what Crib Cats is all about."
