One of the best buddy cop teams in movie history is reuniting, but this time it'll go down on television. You all know Eddie Murphy is executive producing a "Beverly Hills Cop" TV pilot for CBS. It revolves around a new Beverly Hills cop, who just so happens to be the son of Murphy's character, Axel Foley. Brandon T Jackson was announced for the role back in November.
A report from the Wrap says a couple familiar faces will pop up in the pilot, though. Those faces are Murphy himself, reprising his role as Axel, and his old friend Billy Rosewood, played by Judge Reinhold. Reinhold has reportedly just signed on for a cameo role, but seeing those two together again will be more than enough. At this point, there's no confirmation from CBS.
Murphy is working on the project with writer-producer Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"). They're hoping the series will make it to air this fall season.
