"I was my grandmother's only grandchild and the center of her life, but she was the center of my universe," says Josh in a statement provided to Zap2it. "I am so grateful I got to hold her hand and place my head on her chest and tell her I loved her. She told me she adored me."

Edith died Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. PT in her Los Angeles home.

Edith, who appeared frequently on "MDLLA" to advise her grandson, was a Holocaust survivor who fled Austria as a teenager and ran a successful clothing line after immigrating to the U.S..
