'Elementary' and 'Vegas' picked up for full seasons by CBSAdd to Favorites | Vegas
"'Vegas' and 'Elementary' have opened strong, delivering big audiences and winning performances in important time periods," CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler says. "Each of the shows has rich characters, big stars and a unique visual style that have stood out in the crowd, helping make two of our strongest nights even stronger."
"Vegas" is the top-ranked new series of the season in total viewers, averaging 14.9 million people over its first three episodes, along with a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49. "Elementary," meanwhile, is second among new shows in both viewers (14.3 million) and adults 18-49 (3.5 rating, trailing NBC's "Revolution").
Three of CBS' four new series for fall have had their futures decided for the remainder of this season -- these two pickups and the cancellation of "Made in Jersey" earlier in the month. The lone newcomer still awaiting word is "Partners," which has posted mediocre ratings in its Monday-night slot.
