Elin Nordegren, Tiger Wood's ex-wife, demolishes $12 million mansion

elin-nordegren-2-getty.jpgYou've got a $12 million oceanfront mansion near Palm Beach, FL that features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and its own elevator. Plus you secured around $100 million in a divorce settlement from a world-famous golfer. What do you do next?

Demolish the house, of course.

This is exactly what Elin Nordegren did to her 17,000-square-foot mansion, according to the Palm Beach Post. Once all the rubble is cleared, the one-time model is going to build her dream house, presumably something slightly less ostentatious - or maybe not - for Nordegren and her two children.

The Post says that, at one point, Nordegren was planning on renovating the uber-house. But once they started tinkering with the 1930s-era pad, she decided to pull the plug and start anew.

The 32-year-old Nordegren has been going through a series of life changes ever since it was revealed in late 2009 that her now ex-husband Tiger Woods was involved in repeated infidelity. The two finalized their divorce in August 2010.
