Elizabeth Taylor hospitalized for congestive heart failure treatment
Taylor disclosed suffering from congestive heart failure in 2004 and Morrison says it is not known at this time how long Taylor may be in the hospital.
The AP reports that Taylor was supposed to attend an amfAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research) gala Wednesday night in New York City, where she was scheduled to recieve an award for her dedication to AIDS research.
Since she was not in attendance, Sir Elton John accepted on her behalf and passed along a message: "I am there in spirit and I join you in saluting my fellow honorees and all these extraordinary leaders. I am inspired by their example, exhilarated by their vision, and encouraged by their compassion and love. And I love them in return."
Taylor is a two-time Best Actress Oscar winner - first in 1960 for "Butterfield 8" and again in 1966 for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Our best wishes for a speedy recovery, Liz.
