Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry, prized possessions up for auction
"The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor" will feature numerous items from Taylor's many marriages including a 33.19-carat, emerald cut diamond ring she received from Richard Burton. The ring is worth an estimated $2.5 million to $3.5 million.
Some other impressive items, which are currently being exhibited at the New York auction house, include a 16th century pear-shaped pearl, which is part of a ruby and diamond necklace. This piece is estimated to be worth $2 - $3 million.
For those looking for more affordable items, there's a collection of Taylor's old gowns, jackets, purses and shoes. There's also an autographed poster from Michael Jackson.
Some of the proceeds of the auction, which is set for Dec. 13-17, will go to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
Taylor died March 23 at age 79.
