Is Ellen DeGeneres pirating movies? Not really, but it seems a screener copy of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" given to her has ended up online.

An animated GIF from the leaked version of the movie was posted on Waxy and shows DeGeneres' name watermarked on the bottom of the screen, along with the date Nov. 26. The copy that was pirated is not an Academy screener, but rather one sent to  "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in order for her to prepare an interview with the movie's star,  Ben Stiller.

Executive producers of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" tell Variety they don't know whether or not the leaked copy of the movie was actually from them or not, adding, "We are doing everything we can to find out and to make sure it never happens again." They also note than in 11 seasons of the show, nothing has ever leaked online in this way.
