'Emily Owens, M.D.': Hospitals are like high school in first clip

Not much has changed for Emily Owens since high school, apparently -- at least in the first clip The CW has released from its new fall drama "Emily Owens, M.D." Mamie Gummer's Emily is still just as vulnerable around mean girls as she was as a teenager, even though they're now both doctors working in the same hospital.

While this is only a fraction of the action The CW introduced in the show's full trailer at its Upfront presentation on May 17, it does introduce us to the overall vibe of the show. Namely: Owens was a nerdy kid in high school, and is reacquainted with the mean girl who tormented her in high school and will undoubtedly throw her for a loop when she starts her new job.

The show's basically a cross between "Scrubs" and "Grey's Anatomy," with a little less quirk and a little more high school-esque drama thrown in the mix. It looks perfectly charming, though not really groundbreaking at all. The cast looks stellar, though, and we can't wait to watch in the fall.

What do you think of the first clip?
