Emma Roberts and Evan Peters release domestic violence statement
There don't seem to be many hard feelings between Emma Roberts and Evan Peters following the reveal of their domestic violence dispute in Montreal that led to Roberts' arrest. The couple and "American Horror Story: Coven" costars released a joint statement about the July 7 incident.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," Roberts and Peters say in a joint statement to Us Weekly. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
Meanwhile Roberts looks a bit worse for wear, though she was the one arrested for injuring Peters. TMZ has photos showing her walking around with bruised legs and a bandage on her left elbow. She also was photographed crying in Peters' arms.
Police were called about a fight in Roberts and Peters' hotel room on July 7. They found him with a bloody nose and a bite mark, assumedly caused by Roberts. Roberts was arrested and taken into police custody, but was released hours later after Peters refused to press charges. Sources say the couple was hitting one another, though Peters was the only one with visible injuries and thus Roberts was arrested.
