Emmy Awards 2011: Charlie Sheen's surprise appearance; Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher react
Sheen, who was a surprise addition to show presented himself as calm, respectable and humble. This is, of course, in stark contrast to his behavior earlier in the year when he heaved insults at " Two and a Half Men" EP Chuck Lorre as well as his co-star Jon Cryer.
Before presenting the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Sheen addressed the audience and specifically his former co-workers.
"From the bottom of my heart," he says, "I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television."
When the tandem of Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher took the stage to present Best Writing for a Drama series, they offered a snide barb at the expense of Sheen.
"I do not think you're a troll," Kutcher says to Cryer, a reference to when Sheen called Cryer that same term.
Boys will be boys.
